Legal advice about dad.?

Im trying to find out contact details about my dad who lives in Dubai, and the only person who knows is our lawyer, however he's friends with my mum so if i make an appointment and ask him, can he legally tell my mum?


Cos i don't want her to know.

Why don't you write a letter to your dad. Tell him about the day-to-day things in your life, eg best school subjects, favourite pop group, who you look like and any other details about your life.


You could enclose a photograph.


You have a right to know your dad. I is unfortunate that some parents use their children as lethal weapons when their relationship has broken down.


The law states quite clearly that any action must be in the best interests of the child. So, write your letter, give it to the solicitor and state your intention that you trust him to act in your best interests.

Why has he not tried to contact you, or don't he know about you?

Try to find out why he was discouraged from contacting you before you try to find him .... information good to know.





Hire the lawyer for a consult .... this makes what you say confidential to ';Client Privilege'; He's not supposed to talk about what you say to anyone.





The if you get an address ... write a snail mail letter .. perhaps send a VERY respectable snap shot photo (due to where your mail it - current political climate there)





Recommendation: Be-careful what you wish for ... you just might get it.
